Seth Godin recently posted a story about the new W Ketchup, marketed to rival the deep pockets of Heinz. In his commentary, Seth paints the evolution of our commerical expectations, and contrasts the ideals of yesteryear in terms of societal norms.

The winner is still the one who believes in the Golden Rule. According to Seth, it is those [businesses] who "treat their customers and their constituents with respect and honesty" that survive and continue to pave the future paths to success.
